Steve Phillips, a communist mentor and donor to Kamala Harris, confirmed during a speech to The City Club of Cleveland that he and his political allies, like Kamala, are at “war” with White Americans.
n 2023, Marxist-Leninist academic Steve Phillips addressed The City Club of Cleveland, telling his audience that the American Civil War never ended and that the nation’s White population is “locked in an existential battle” against a “multi-racial” opposition force. But, Phillips says, the war is almost over, and Whites are on the brink of defeat.
“I have come home to Cleveland and returned to The City Club to share with you in as plain a fashion as I can that the Civil War is not over,” said Phillips, in a speech that advocated for reparations and the massive redistribution of American wealth along anti-White racial lines. “The Confederates have never stopped fighting and we remain locked in an existential battle over whether America will be a White nation or whether it will be a multi-racial democracy.”
“That’s the bad news,” Phillips went on. “The good news is that we can and should finally win this war.”
So who is Steve Phillips?
A professional Marxist-Leninist and a close friend of the Harris family, Steve Phillips has been supporting Kamala Harris since the very beginning of her political career. He’s been credited with helping get her elected for the very first time, as a prominent supporter of her 2003 campaign for District Attorney of San Francisco, an office Harris held until 2011 when she became the Attorney General of California.

Phillips became a multi-billionaire when he married into the Sandler banking family and has used that fortune to fund an anti-White communist political revolution, working with the likes of George Soros along the way. He’s long funded left-wing candidates, like Kamala Harris, through his “PowerPAC” and “PowerPAC Plus” campaign finance arms.
In addition to Kamala Harris, Phillips has been a prominent backer of candidates like Barack Obama, Stacey Abrams, and Andrew Gillum. As mentioned, he’s a close Harris family friend and as such, he was credited with helping Tony West, the husband of Kamala’s sister Maya Harris, get a job as an Obama Administration Associate Attorney General.
Phillips is also the author of the book Brown Is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority, which was released ahead of the 2016 Presidential Election in a naked effort to fan the flames of racial identity politics on behalf of the far-left.
Phillips’ ties to communism are far from secret, as he’s openly bragged about his involvement with anti-American guerillas and China-backed subversives on his own public website.
According to a 2019 report from The Epoch Times, on his blog, Phillips wrote “First, let me make clear that I come out of the Left. I’ve studied Marx, Mao, and Lenin. In college, I organized solidarity efforts for freedom struggles in South Africa and Nicaragua, and I palled around with folks who considered themselves communists and revolutionaries…and I did my research paper on the Black Panther Party.”
The same Epoch Times report also shed light on Phillips’ ties to the pro-CCP League of Revolutionary Struggle, a group not just tied to 1960s race radicals, but to La Raza, the open-borders, anti-American left-wing pressure group that changed its name to UnidosUS, but still fights on behalf of illegal aliens.
